The latest generation of BMW and MINI models now feature a Digital Service History which replaces the conventional service booklet, giving peace of mind that your service history can’t be lost or falsified as the system can only be updated, or added to, by BMW or MINI main dealers or legitimate independent BMW approved workshops.

Your key stores all your vehicle’s service data, which we access using our genuine BMW Key Reader. This includes important information such as service history records, vehicle details, current diagnostic fault codes and mileages – all of which we will keep up to date when you visit Autoworks Services.

Once the vehicle is in the workshop and work is underway, the BMW certified technician connects your car to our BMW diagnostics and in turn, to the BMW servers in Munich, allowing us to update your vehicle on the BMW’s iDrive system with the latest service history and reset any service lights. The iDrive system was introduced by BMW Group in 2011 and has been gradually phased in across the BMW and MINI range as they release new models.

Garages that do not sign up to this BMW service, or run non-legitimate BMW diagnostics will subsequently leave gaps in your vehicle’s service history record, causing problems should you come to sell or trade the car in. Autoworks Services only use genuine BMW products and software.
